We’re a family greenhouse, not a data company. We collect the least we can get away with, we don’t sell it, and if you want it gone you can email us and it’s gone. The rest of this page is the detail.
What we collect, and why
Email newsletter. If you sign up for our seasonal emails, we collect your email address. Our signup form is provided by Square, so your address is stored in our Square account and used to send you greenhouse news — what’s coming into bloom, workshop dates, opening weekends. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
Wholesale ordering. If you’re a wholesale customer placing an order through our availability page, we collect your business name, the plants and quantities you request, and the delivery or pickup date you choose. That order is submitted through a Google Form and lands in a Google Sheet we use to pull and invoice your order. We keep it as a business record.
Your saved plant list. If you save plants using the “My List” feature, that list is stored on your own device by your browser. It is never sent to us, and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data clears the list. Printing or emailing it is something your device does, not us.
Website analytics. Our site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like nearly every website, our host records basic technical request information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) in order to serve pages and guard against abuse. We don’t run advertising trackers or third-party marketing pixels on this site.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent your information to anybody.
- We don’t use your information for advertising, and we don’t run ad-network trackers on this site.
- We don’t ask for information we don’t need — there are no customer accounts or passwords on the retail side of this site.
Services we rely on
A few outside services handle parts of this site, and your information passes through them: Square (email signup, gift cards, and in-store payment), Google (the wholesale order form and the sheet behind it), and Cloudflare (website hosting). Each has its own privacy policy governing what it does with data it holds.
Children
This site is meant for adults shopping for plants. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Seeing or deleting your information
Email [email protected] or call (763) 742-8774 and ask. We’ll tell you what we have and remove it on request. Depending on where you live you may have a formal right to access or delete your information — you don’t need to cite a law with us, just ask. We may need to keep basic records of completed wholesale orders and payments for accounting purposes.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we’ll update this page and change the date below.
